The CZ 75 SP-01 is the company’s first full-sized handgun (4.6″ barrel) to incorporate ergonomic improvements and better manufacturing techniques from the NATO-approved CZ 75 Compact P-01 model. The SP-01, which is based on the CZ 75 DA/SA platform, has rubber grip panels, CZ’s corrosion-resistant black polycoat finish, and an incorporated 1913 accessory rail on the dust cover. It makes use of an extended beavertail to provide grip security and safeguard the shooter’s strong hand.

 In comparison to earlier versions, the grip geometry, checkering in strategic locations on the front and back straps, and redistribution of mass made possible by the accessory rail significantly reduce perceived recoil and enable quicker target acquisition and transition. This particular variant uses a manual safety, a safety stop on the hammer, three-dot night sights, and firing pin block safety. It can hold 18+1 9mm Luger rounds.
